The things
people actually ask.
Including the ones with awkward answers.
How is Runly different from a delivery app or Urban Company?
Two things. The same small team serves your community, so you meet the same people rather than a new stranger each booking. And we do rides and errands together — one team that can take someone to school at 7:40 and collect a prescription at 11:00, instead of three separate apps that know nothing about each other.
Are you actually running yet?
Not yet. We are opening our first community in south-east Bengaluru. We would rather tell you that plainly than dress a waiting list up as a launch.
Why are there no prices on the site?
Because we have not done the work in your building yet, and a rate card published before that is a guess dressed up as a promise. What we commit to now: a flat price per job shown before you book, no surge, no per-room multipliers, no deposit, and nothing charged until the job is done.
Who will be coming to my home?
Someone police-verified and address-verified, with two references called and an interview in person behind them. You will see their name and photograph before they arrive, and within a few weeks it should be someone you have already met.
What if something is damaged or wrong?
We refund first and investigate afterwards. You should never have to argue with us to be made whole.
Do you take children to school on their own?
No. A parent or guardian rides along. Transporting children unaccompanied in Karnataka requires a dedicated school-cab permit, yellow livery and a speed governor, which makes that vehicle useless for anything else. We would rather be honest than take the booking.
Do you work in Kannada?
Yes. The app will be in Kannada, Hindi and English from the first day, our team speaks Kannada, and so will your community coordinator.
Is there a subscription or membership fee?
No. Everything is pay per job. If a membership would genuinely save a household money we will build one, but we are not charging a fee before we have earned it.
How do I get Runly into my building?
Talk to your RWA or management committee, or send us their contact and we will. We present, run a pilot and share the results, at no cost to the association.
What happens to my data?
Location data from a job is kept ninety days, then aggregated and deleted. Identity documents sit in separate restricted storage. Card details never touch our systems. Ask us to delete your account and we will.
Can I request the same person every time?
That is the intention rather than a setting you toggle. A small team assigned to one community means you will see the same faces without having to ask.
What if I need something that is not on your list?
Ask. The services we add next are chosen by what households in our first community actually request, not by what looks good on a page.
